Who we are and what we do
The Vancouver Naval Veterans Association is dedicated to preserving the rich history and traditions of naval service. We strive to foster camaraderie among veterans and their families.
From the President
The VNVA is affiliated with the Royal Canadian Naval Association (RCNA).
Our objectives are:
1. To encourage and maintain comradeship existing between those people who have served in the Canadian Naval Forces, in the commonwealth and Allied Navies, in the Canadian or Allied Merchant Navy, in Canadian Armed Forces and associates who have an interest in Canadian Naval affairs.
2. To cooperate and assist in the welfare and benevolent work amongst ex-Naval personnel and their families.
3. To foster an interest among the youth of Canada in educational training schemes of a Naval nature.
4.To encourage the observation of Canadian Naval historical dates and foster the study and appreciation of Naval tradition. To participate in appropriate ceremonial events.
5.To support and foster public awareness of the role and purposes of the Canadian Navy
